Objectives:
- Snack food CPG company sought to assess two new taste formulations and packaging prior to quantitative sensory evaluation.
Methodology:
- Two focus groups conducted at a food testing facility. One group was conducted for each of the taste formulations.
Result:
- Learning included recommended tweaks to the flavor formulations for sensory evaluation, as well as provided package design insights. The new packaging was successful in conveying “trendy”, “healthy”, and “more expensive”.
